Terms of use

Use Unfilter for photos you own or have permission to edit. Keep source files, review every result, and do not treat an estimated correction as proof of hidden or original content.

Acceptance

By using Unfilter, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the tool. The service is provided as a free general-purpose browser utility and may change or be discontinued.

Your files and ownership

You retain whatever rights you hold in photos you choose and results you export. The current tool processes selected files locally and does not claim ownership of them. You are responsible for having permission to view, edit, and save the source image.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to violate privacy, copyright, publicity, contractual, or other rights; misrepresent generated or estimated content as verified evidence; harass or exploit another person; bypass access controls; distribute malware; or interfere with the service. Do not use an edited portrait to claim that it reveals someone’s “real” face or identity.

No exact-restoration guarantee

A flattened image may have lost colors, textures, geometry, highlights, shadows, or covered pixels. Unfilter applies an estimated color and tone correction to the pixels that remain. It does not guarantee the exact original, forensic accuracy, identity verification, removal of overlays, or recovery of hidden detail.

Service availability and exports

Browser memory, device performance, unsupported formats, damaged files, security settings, and very large images can affect the tool. Inputs are limited to JPG, PNG, and WebP up to 20 MB. Export resolution is capped for browser stability. Keep the source file and verify the downloaded result before relying on it.

External services and marks

References to Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Apple, Google, or other products describe a user scenario or compatibility. Unfilter is not sponsored by or affiliated with those companies. Their names and marks belong to their owners. Links to external documentation are provided for convenience; external terms govern those sites.

Disclaimer and limitation

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of accuracy, fitness, availability, or non-infringement to the extent permitted by law. Unfilter is not a forensic, medical, legal, identity, or archival service. To the extent permitted by law, the site owner is not liable for lost files, missed originals, inaccurate edits, browser failures, or indirect damages arising from use.

Changes

Material changes will update the date on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change affects image handling, advertising, or personal data, the related product and privacy disclosures must be updated before that feature is enabled.
